The pre-owned RV market continues to build on a strong spring selling season. Average pre-owned RV and camper values are up 12% year over year and 6% over the past three months,* driven by consistent buyer demand. Inventory remains plentiful, providing dealers with a broad selection of pre-owned units while buyer participation stays steady, creating continued opportunities for strong margins.

Hot Temps Bring Market Cooling
As the market transitions from spring to summer, dealers should expect the seasonal softening in wholesale values that traditionally occurs during this time of year. Rising fuel prices may also influence consumer spending, with more buyers shifting toward quality pre-owned RVs over new models.

Now is the time for dealers to take a disciplined approach to inventory management. Evaluate trades and acquisitions with late-summer pricing in mind, focus on high-demand models, price inventory competitively, and prioritize faster inventory turns. Dealers who reduce risk and manage inventory strategically will be best positioned to protect margins and capitalize on opportunities as the market continues to normalize.

Businesses that become NPA Members receive access to comprehensive vehicle information, including detailed condition reports, valuation tools, and market data, along with the ability to buy and sell across NPA's nationwide live and online auction platforms.
