Pricing pressure remains intense, particularly in the wholesale segment, as dealers rush to meet year-end financial goals. Wholesale prices are experiencing accelerated depreciation, falling at a faster rate than typical seasonal cooling.* Dealers and lenders are highly motivated to clear inventory from the books before year-end, leading to less reserve protection at auction. This makes December arguably the best month for wholesale buyers to secure high-quality units at depressed values, as sellers prioritize capital recovery over margin optimization. The greatest segment pressure is concentrated on lower-end, highly-utilized travel trailers and older Class C motorhomes, which are seeing the steepest price drops due to high supply and reduced consumer interest in winter travel.

For NPA dealer members, December offers a clear strategic opportunity. Buyers should capitalize on the year-end push by focusing on high-quality, late-model inventory that dealers are liquidating quickly to minimize their tax burden. This is the optimal time to stock up for the spring 2026 rally.

Conversely, Sellers must accept that retail demand is minimal.
